Are your company’s retirement plan fees reasonable, as the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) requires? The Department of Labor has issued new and extensive regulations to govern fee disclosure for retirement plans. These new regulations, which will be effective in 2012, reflect the DOL’s continuing effort to make fees more transparent for you and for your plan’s participants. We, as Human Resources professionals, need to understand the regulations pertaining to our retirement plans even though the management and administration of our plans is often outsourced to a third party.

Our presenter is Mr. Charles Porcher, Vice President and Retirement Plan Counselor for American Funds Distributors, Inc. Mr. Porcher services clients in Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Central and North Georgia and the Florida panhandle. Prior to Joining AFD, Mr. Porcher was Vice President of Sales for Diversified Investment Advisors and has more than 14 years of industry experience.

Mr. Porcher earned a bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from Clemson University and he holds FINRA Series 7, 26 and 63 registrations.
